TooliFyra's GST Calculator Online Free is a precise tool for calculating Goods and Services Tax amounts. Whether you're a business owner, accountant, or consumer, this gst calculator online free helps you quickly determine the tax component of any transaction with both GST Exclusive and GST Inclusive modes.

The calculator uses the new GST 2.0 slabs (3%, 5%, 18% and 40%) as one-click presets and accepts any custom rate, so you can still check an old invoice at 12% or 28%. It shows the original price, total GST, the CGST and SGST split, and the final total.

New GST Rates in India (GST 2.0, from 22 September 2025)

The 56th GST Council meeting simplified GST to two main rates. The 12% and 28% slabs were removed: items moved from 12% to 5% or 18%, and from 28% to 18% or 40%. A special 40% rate applies to sin and luxury goods.

GST rateUsed forExample on ₹1,000
0% (nil)Fresh, unpacked essentials such as milk, vegetables and fruits₹0 GST
3%Gold, silver and jewellery₹30 GST → ₹1,030
5% (merit rate)Daily-use goods, many packaged foods (ghee, butter, paneer moved here from 12%)₹50 GST → ₹1,050
18% (standard rate)Most goods and services; ACs and refrigerators moved here from 28%₹180 GST → ₹1,180
40% (special rate)Sin and luxury goods, such as aerated sugary drinks₹400 GST → ₹1,400

Always check the rate for your exact product or service (its HSN or SAC code) on the official GST portal before filing.

GST Formula

Add GST (exclusive): GST = Price × Rate ÷ 100, and Total = Price + GST. Example: ₹10,000 at 18% → GST ₹1,800, total ₹11,800.

Remove GST (inclusive): Original price = Total ÷ (1 + Rate ÷ 100), and GST = Total − Original price. Example: ₹11,800 at 18% → original ₹10,000, GST ₹1,800.

CGST, SGST and IGST: within one state, GST is split equally into CGST and SGST (UTGST in a union territory) — ₹1,800 becomes ₹900 + ₹900. For a sale from one state to another, the full amount is charged as IGST (₹1,800 IGST).
